Overview

Auwirt Camping, a few minutes south of Salzburg, Austria, is a well-atended campsite with modern sanitary facilities and is perfectly suited for sightseeing tours in the city of Mozart and is therefore especially beloved by visitors on cultural tours of the city. The site with accompanying hotel and restaurant is also directly on the Tauern bicycle track, so you can go by bike simply and quickly to the center of Salzburg. A little stream flows through the campsite, inviting one to go for a relaxing dip. The guest garden with its natural shades, the children’s playground, and the nearby golf course make the Auwirt campsite an outstanding starting part for your camping holidays. If you prefer public transportation there is a bus stop in front of the campsite and if you want to get away from the city and the open fields viewed by the campsite you can go to the Anif wood baths (3 km away), or in the Königseeache (also in the area). There is much to do other than Salzburg, such as the Dürnberg salt mines, World of the Ice Giants (world’s largest ice cave) and Werfen Castle, Hellbrunn Castle, Lake König and Berchtesgarden, Eagles Nest, and Club Montee in Hallein that organizes rafting tours, canyoning and more...

When you arrive late afternoons, the sun is already behind the mountains and it's a bit dark. But when the evening falls, the beauty of the campsite comes up. It's right at the border with Germany but it doesn't feel like a border town. It is a very nice camp site with a nice atmosphere. Not 5 starts because of the 7 minute hot water, 3 minute cold water policy for the showers.

More a park where you can find your spot by yourself then a camp with predefined pitches. Nice view of mountains. Small playground located in front of the gate. Stayed for one night only so cannot provide more info about services.
